On finding (and keeping) great talent, and growing a loyal community.
with Jennifer Haf, owner of BLOOM Floral Design
As a former teacher, Jennifer Haf of BLOOM Floral Design admits she fell into the business. It was after a move back home to Michigan that as her home garden took shape, so did her love for flowers. As a self-taught designer, her passion for flowers is truly inspiring. Jennifer considers herself lucky to call ‘Up North’ home; a vacation spot for most, but mark my words, the next it spot for destination weddings. And something I truly love about BLOOM is how effortlessly their unique designs fit the diversity Michigan venues have to offer.
On this episode of End of the Night, Jennifer and I talk about the all too familiar balancing act of managing client expectations, the difficulties with supply chain demands, and why pampas grass needs to go. Once you hear why – you’ll probably agree.
Whether you’re a fellow industry colleague, in the midst of wedding planning, or perhaps just a floral fan, my gut tells me you’ll fall in love with Jennifer’s whimsical creations (which you can scroll thru gleefully on Instagram @bloomfloraldesign) and enjoy our conversation about blossoming in the Midwest market.
Take a peek at Jennifer’s incredible body of work on the web at www.bloomfloraldesign.com. If you’re local to Michigan, be sure to stop into her *adorable* retail shop located in Charlevoix – it has a wonderful curation of local artisan gifts and you can even get a peek behind the curtain (literally) to see what her and her powerhouse team are working on at the moment.
Wherever you choose to listen along to End of the Night; episodes are available on our website here, Spotify, or Apple Podcasts; know that you are welcomed with open arms.
